The three channels will offer sports, lifestyle and entertainment programming from Insight TV’s UHD library of content, and is availbe free of charge in the five European countries where Samsung offers its TV Plus service, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK.

The announcement was made by Heeman Lee, VP of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, and Rian bester, CEO of Insight TV, at this year’s MIPCOM in Cannes.

“Samsung TV Plus makes it easier for consumers to discover their favourite premium content, and what’s more, we offer original UHD HDR content for free,” said Heeman Lee.

“Partnering with Insight TV, we are very happy that we can continue to expand our UHD HDR content offerings to raise the viewing experience in consumers’ homes.”

“We’ve had a fantastic year expanding the Insight TV service and brand across the world and this announcement further highlights our commitment to our community,” said Insight TV’s CEO Rian Bester.

“We’re delighted to announce this news at MIPCOM and look forward to sharing further announcements regarding new shows, distribution deals and content sales during the coming weeks.”
