Roku is bringing two of its newly announced streaming devices to the UK and France.
The Roku Express is being positioned as the ‘most affordable streaming player Roku ever launched’. It’s available in the UK market for £29.99 and in France for €34.99.
UK consumers will also be able to purchase the Roku Streaming Stick+ for £79.99, which is capable of streaming HD, 4K and 4K HDR at up to 60 fps.
“The Roku Express is one of our most popular streaming players. It is a great starting point for first time streamers or for people looking to extend the Roku experience to other TVs,” said Chas Smith, general manager of Roku TVs and players. “Consumers will love our new sleek Roku Streaming Stick+ with an innovative advanced wireless receiver that gives up to four times the wireless range and a remote that controls TV volume and power. At £79.99, it makes HD, 4K and HDR streaming simple.”
The second-generation of the Roku Express is five times more powerful than its predecessor.
An interesting side note is while the UK has access to 4,000 channels, for France it’s a ‘modest’ 3,500.
