Serbia’s Regulatory Authority of Electronic Media (REM) has elected two new members to the steering committee of the public broadcaster RTS.
According to Vesti and Seebiz, news of the appointments of Zoran Panovic and Nebojsa Krstic was first reported the Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS).
They add that up until the middle of last year Panovic was the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Danas, while Krstic was the owned of the marketing agencies Nova Communications and PR Public Relation up to September 6.
While Panovic told the UNS that as a member of the board of directors, he would advocate “that the RTS becomes a place of social dialogue, a place where all relevant actors will discuss the social situation in order to tame the tensions that exist in Serbia”, Krstic refused to comment about his plans.
