The games of the UEFA Europa League will continue to be shown on free-to-air TV in Austria.
Commercial broadcaster Puls 4 obtained the TV rights from European football association UEFA for the three seasons between 2018/19 and 2020/21. Financial details were not disclosed.
The channel part of media group ProSiebenSat.1 has been showing the UEFA Europa League since 2015.
The UEFA Champions League, however, will disappear from free-to-air TV as pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland and Perform Group’s subscription OTT sports portal DAZN recently acquired the rights for Germany and Austria.
