Thema expands in Asia

Canal+ Group’s Thema has created a new subsidiary in Mumbai, India, in charge of developing business operations across the Indian subcontinent (SAARC), including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Maldives.

Manivel Malone has been appointed MD of Thema South Asia and will be based in Mumbai from January 1, 2018.

At the same time, Alexandre Bac has been appointed the new MD of Thema Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Both will report to Arnaud Verlhac, head of distribution for Thema Group, based in Paris.

Commenting on the development, Fabrice Faux, CEO of Thema, said: “Asia is key in Thema’s distribution strategy, and adding a new piece to our network in India is a major advantage we are proud to offer to the channels we represent.

“Manivel Malone and Alexandre Bac, together with Arnaud Verlhac, are experienced professionals whose enthusiasm, organization and commitment will certainly meet our highest clients’ expectations”.
