Slovakia’s Antik Telecom plans to add a number of Ultra HD channels to its IPTV offer.
Quoted by Zive, Igor Kolla, the company’s general manager, said that this would not be undertaken as a test, with the channels being broadcast on a permanent basis.
Fashion TV 4K will be made available in the basic package, for no additional fee. Also included will be Funbox 4k, as well as TV Piánko 1 4k and TV Piánko 2 4k, with other channels set to follow in the coming weeks.
Reception will be possible through the new Mini 3 receiver, which Antik plans to make available from next week.
Significantly, Antik will be the first operator in Slovakia to offer its IPTV subscribers Ultra HD services.
To date, channels in the format have only been available via DTH or through smart TV apps.
