Freeview Play users will get a new feature designed to get the best out of the DTT service.
The new Freeview Explore will demo core functionality, deliver the latest news on the Freeview channel line-up and provide a showcase for on demand content.
There’s also a scrolling carousel of 10 programme genres and the ability to search for programmes by genre or programme name; All, Comedy, Drama & Soaps, Entertainment, Factual, Kids, Lifestyle, Movies, Sport, and a dynamic seasonal category such as ‘Christmas’ or ‘Halloween’.

Freeview Explore will rollout to Freeview Play TV and set-top boxes over the next month.
