The SAT>IP Alliance has announced that Irdeto and Verimatrix have joined the Alliance.
Over the past year, the SAT>IP Alliance continued to work on enhancing the SAT>IP protocol including transcoding, and CAS (Conditional Access System) to DRM (Digital Rights Management) conversion.
“With the integration of CAS-to-DRM solutions into the SAT>IP standard we are making it much easier for Pay-TV operators to take live broadcast television content onto in-home IP networks”, said Thomas Wrede, president of the SAT>IP Alliance, “and we invite manufacturers of SAT>IP equipment to support our efforts and to join the Alliance.”
