Austria’s largest cable operator UPC has extended its HD line-up.
Following MTV Live HD, UPC customers can now also receive Nickelodeon, Nicknight, Comedy Central and VIVA from Viacom International Media Networks in HD quality in addition to SD resolution.
Nickelodeon Austria occupies channel slot 288 while Comedy Central and VIVA Austria can be found on channel 220.
“With the distribution of the HD channels with Austrian advertising windows by UPC, Viacom strengthens its brand position in Austria and also offers viewers the choice between SD and brilliant HD quality,” said Josef Almer, managing director of Goldbach Media Austria, the advertising sales company for Viacom’s channel brands in Austria.
