Romania’s fixed internet market gained 461,000 new customers in the two years to June 2016.
Quoting figures published by the regulator ANCOM and operators, ZF reports that RCS&RDS and UPC accounted for the overwhelming majority (85%) of the total.
It adds that Telekom Romania lost 50,937 fixed internet customers during the period in question, continuing a trend that had begun two quarters earlier.
RCS&RDS, UPC and Telekom Romania are the main players in both Romania’s fixed internet and pay-TV markets.
