Three channels operated by Slovakia’s leading broadcaster TV Markiza may soon again be available to terrestrial viewers.
However, reports Parabola, they will become part of the pay offering of the DTT platform Plustelka, with the flagship channel TV Markiza being in HD and thematic channels TV Doma and TV Dajto in SD.
Quoting Ivan Peschl, the head of the Slovak transmission company Towercom, it adds that negotiations with TV Markiza have been very positive and its channels are likely to be made available on Plustelka in the second half of this year.
Plustelka currently offers viewers 18 TV channels.
TV Markiza, which is owned by CME, stopped the terrestrial distribution of its channels at the beginning of this year and is understood to have seen a fall in audience share.
