A+E Networks has secured distribution rights to over 300 hours of Viceland content in international markets.
The partnership, which was announced by Sean Cohan, president, international & digital, A+E Networks and James Rosenstock, president of Viceland International and chief corporate development officer for Vice Media, creates an additional distribution opportunity for Vice’s original content and complements Vice’s ongoing international expansion.
It will expand A+E Networks’ existing library, which consists of 16,000+ hours of content and was bolstered last year following similar agreements with Pulse Films and East Entertainment.
Commenting on the development, Edward Sabin, executive MD, international, said: “Vice’s content delivers a compelling and unique voice to our diverse library of exceptional programming that reaches sought-after young and upscale audiences.
“This deal furthers our relationship with Vice and underscores our ambition to strengthen and grow the content offerings brought to market by our best-in-class sales team.”
James Rosenstock added: “As we continue to expand our presence worldwide and bring our multiplatform content to dozens of new territories, this partnership with A+E Networks is an important aspect of our growth strategy.
“This expanded partnership will bring our innovative Viceland content to even more young viewers across the globe, and also create an additional revenue stream for our growing television business. We’re very excited to be working with the world’s leading programme sales distributor in A+E.”
