Catalin Marinescu, the president of the Romanian regulator ANCOM, will leave his post at the end of April and become the head of strategy at the ITU in early May.
Speaking at a press conference and quoted by ZF, he said he had decided to resign to follow another career opportunity.
He also said that his decision had nothing to do with politics.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Marinescu has been the president of ANCOM since 2009.
