Bosnia’s Ministry of Communications and Transport has published an international tender for procurement of digital microwave links for public broadcasting in the country.
In a statement, it says the move is the second phase of digitisation and interested parties have 40 days to submit bids.
The latter will be evaluated by a commission appointed by the ministry, with the winners required to complete the delivery and installation of equipment in the first months of 2018.
According to Ismir Jusko, the minister of communications and transport the first stage of the transition to digital broadcasting covered Sarajevo, Mostar and Banja Luka and was completed on October 14 last year.
The second will cover six remaining areas and the process will be completed following a third phase.
Bosnia has decided to use the DVB-T2 standard for its digital TV services.
