The take-up of pay-TV services in Croatia grew impressively in 2016, with DTH the strongest performer.
Data published by the regulator HAKOM shows that at year’s end there were a total of 178,428 satellite TV subscriptions, or 8.52% more than 12 months earlier.
At the same time, the take up of IPTV service grew by 3.01% year-on-year to 398,436, and cable TV by 3.27% to 159,090.
However, the take-up of pay-DTT fell by 2.68% to 59,771, while DTT reception fell by 3.98% to 699,983.
Reception of independent TV services was also down, by 11.67% to 231,469.
Revenues from TV services as a whole increased by 8.05% in 2016 to HRK176,370,988 (€23,725,200).
