Netflix is now available as an app on the Horizon HD recorder offered by UPC in Switzerland.
With the app, the customers of the cable operator can directly access the Netflix content through the multimedia box including series such as House of Cards, Stranger Things and Narcos.
The app appears in the channel list on slot 199; there are no additional costs apart from the Netflix subscription.
UPC is currently the only Swiss company offering its customers a TV platform with direct access to Netflix.
The rollout of the Netflix app by UPC in Switzerland follows the global deal parent company Liberty Global signed with the subscription video-on-demand provider in September 2016.
