Hrvatski Telekom (HT) has been the largest investor in Croatia in the last five years.
According to the telco, quoting the Zagreb Institute of Economics, its investment amounted to HRK5.7 billion (€746.4 million) between 2011 and 2015, with this bringing the most added value ¬– HRK12.9 billion – to the country’s economy. In total, HT, which employed over 27,000 people, contributed 3% to the GDP.
The telco also said that it continues to invest and highlighted the fact that from this month 180,000 of its customers are being offered broadband speeds 2-5 times faster than previously and for no additional charge.
Further, over 200,000 households are already connected to fibre, thereby laying the foundations for the gigabit society.
