The DTG says it plans to reorganise its senior team as it looks to further extend its work into Hybrid, UHD, virtual reality and mobile.
“We are restructuring to ensure we sustain the high level of technical integrity and insight for our Members within our existing work whilst embracing key new areas of industry development. Seasoned subject matter experts will work with our established team to help our industry partners co-operate to drive key issues into market opportunities during the months ahead,” said DTG CEO Richard Lindsay-Davies.

Peter Sellar will assume the role of associate director broadcast to focus on broadcast and hybrid activity while David Daniels, formerly of Sky, will take the lead on ultra high definition and virtual reality. George Robertson, who has been principal IP Engineer with the DTG since 2008, has assumed the role of chief technologist to focus on Wireless and disruptive technologies. Ian Mecklenburgh becomes a special advisor on IP activity and Alex Buchan will lead a PMSE initiative.
Lindsay-Davies thanked Gauntlett for his work over the last ten years and said he looked forward to working with him in his new role at Dolby.
