One of the main shareholders in the Bulgarian incumbent Vivacom (BTC) has cast doubts as to its upcoming sale.
According to Kommersant, Empreno Ventures Ltd, which claims to own 43.3% of Vivacom, has complained to the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) against the British division of VTB Capital.
In the complaint, it is alleged that holders of Vivacom bonds have not provided sufficient information about the upcoming changes among the operator’s shareholders.
It also fails to mention a claim of €250 million in damages made to the UK’s High Court by the Russian businessman Dmitriy Kosarev, who claims to be a majority shareholder and that Vivacom was sold illegally to VTB Capital.
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, the Russian bank VTB is about to become a shareholder in Vivacom.
