Conax introduces Contego-as-a-Service in the cloud

Conax has announced that the company will feature its new Contego-as-a-Service cloud-based content protection service at this year’s ANGA COM in Cologne.

The flexible, modular offering includes the full benefits of the flagship Conax Contego unified security platform supporting DVB, IPTV and OTT plus all key DRM technologies enabling operators to provide streamlined consumer experience across devices and technologies.

Contego-as-a-Service provides pay-TV platforms with a business model for supporting future growth by featuring low CAPEX, reduced operational complexity, premium scalability and rapid deployment of new features such as secure TV everywhere and streamlined content delivery.

At AngaCom, content security specialist Conax will also feature demonstrations of its Conax GO Live entry-level live streaming solution including its newest features such as analytics, AirPlay and Chromecast support. Conax will also demonstrate its benchmark multi-DRM back-end throughout the show at Hall 10.2, stand # E11. Conax will be exhibiting together with Kudelski Group sisters Nagra and SmarDTV.

“Hosted, monitored and maintained by Conax, Contego-as-a-Service’s highly flexible content protection in the cloud will enable operators of all shapes and sizes to focus on their core business by outsourcing specialist services like content security to Conax”, confirms Tom Jahr, EVP products and marketing, Conax.
