Polsat deepens sports cooperation

Cyfrowy Polsat SportPoland’s Cyfrowy Polsat, Polsat Sport and Grupa Onet-RAS Polska have extended and widened their cooperation in the distribution of exclusive sports video content.

The content is produced by Polsat sport TV channels and the online VOD service ipla and shown by Onet and Onet-RAS Polska services.

According to Kinga Ciutka, director of the development of online services, Cyfrowy Polsat, “cooperation with the Onet group will provide Polish fans with even wider access to video content related to UEFA Euro 2016. Thanks to the extensive experience of the channels Polsat and Polsat Sport in broadcasting the biggest sporting events in the world, with transmissions of all the games from UEFA Euro 2016 on the channels Polsat 2 and Polsat 3 and their availability on the the internet TV service ipla and the professionalism of editorial journalists at Polsat Sport and polsatsport.pl, internet users will for the first time have such wide access to live events, commentaries, summaries and analysis of the most imporatnt sporting event in Europe in 2016”.

Rafal Romaniuk, acting MD of the sports segment of Grupa Onet-RAS Polska, added: Thanks to the cooperation with Polsat our users will get a comprehensive and unique offer for football in 2016. Grupa Onet-RAS Polska is the clear leader in the sports category on the internet in Poland and I am sure that with the possibility to present materials from different sports – goals, short clips and other exclusive materials produced by journalists – Polsat will further emphasise this position. This is one of the many surprises that Grupa Onet-RAS Polska has prepared for our users from the upcoming tournament in France. We will soon announce the appointment of our exceptional team for the (Euros). I’m sure the fans will be pleasantly surprised, especially by who will be the captain of our team”.
