Cable Europe/CTAM Europe gain new members

May 12, 2016 13.55 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Turner, AMC Networks International and NBC Universal have become the latest broadcasters to become joint members of Cable Europe and CTAM Europe.

They join Disney, Discovery Communications and Viacom International Media Networks Northern Europe as associate members of the two cable industry bodies.

Commenting on the development, Matthias Kurth, executive chairman of Cable Europe, said: “In a converging industry it makes perfect sense to draw together the network operators with the content creators in a way we never have before. We’re delighted to welcome Turner, NBC Universal and AMC Networks International to our membership. It’s never been more relevant to provide a platform for co-operation on strategic issues of mutual interest, and the high level of engagement shown by global content providers speaks for itself.”
