The insolvency administrator of NRW.TV, solicitor Dirk Andres, has closed the business of the German regional broadcaster.
The 15 employees have already been informed about the move at a staff meeting, law firm AndresPartner said in a statement, adding that the move was necessary as no buyer had been found for the insolvent company despite several interested parties.
“We can’t continue NRW.TV without an investor with a sound concept,” said Andres. The only option left had therefore been the termination of the operations. All employees have been released from work.
NRW.TV filed an application for the opening of insolvency proceedings in March 2016.
