Kudelski Group has answered back against claims its OpenTV had infringed patents held by web giant Yahoo.
Its filed counterclaims alleging that Yahoo infringes ten U.S. patents owned by OpenTV and identify several infringing products and services, including Yahoo Smart TV, Yahoo Connected TV, Yahoo TV, Yahoo interactive video advertisements, Yahoo fantasy gaming and Yahoo Screen.
In January Yahoo launched its own complaint against OpenTV in a Californian court. It was seeking both to invalidate a patent and prove it had not violated six more held by the Swiss company.
OpenTV has previously been involved in patent litigation against Netflix, Apple, Verizon and AOL.
