The operators of two channels on the upcoming eighth multiplex (MUX-8) have received permission from the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) for their names to be changed.
Wirtualne Media reports that Kiwi TV, which is owned by Agora, will now be known as Metro, and Spektrum TV, owned by the ZPR Media group, Nowa TV.
MUX-8 will also carry Zoom TV and an interactive channel named WP1, along with services operated by the public broadcaster TVP.
Separately, the KRRiT has also agreed to a name change for Polsat Sport, a channel distributed on the second multiplex (MUX-2).
It will now be known as Polsat Sport News and offer a wider variety of programming, including movies and series, than previously.
