SPI’s Kino Polska TV S.A. Capital Group has posted a net profit of PLN16.1 million (€3.8 million) for 2015, or almost 24% more than the previous year.
Its sales revenues amounted to PLN107 million (+7%), driven by those from broadcasting, which increased by 13%.
Meanwhile, ad revenues in the FilmBox movie and thematic channel segment increased by 63%.
EBITDA rose by 12% to PLN45.1 million.
In terms of audience share, FilmBox saw its increase by nearly 60%, while that of Kino Polska Muzyka rose by 16%.
Furthermore, the average time spent watching the latter increased by one fifth.
Another channel in the group, Stopklatka TV increased its viewing ratings by nearly a quarter, while Kino Polska TV remained the fifth most popular film/TV series channel in Poland.
The group is currently preparing a new DTT channel named Zoom TV, in partnership with the Polish Foundation for the Development of Electronic Communication (Piksel) and Onet.pl.
Its output will include content provide by local operators and broadcasters affiliated to the Polish Chamber of Electronic Communication (PIKE).
