Last year’s sale of the Bulgarian incumbent Vivacom is being challenged in the UK courts.
Kommersant reports that Empreno Ventures has filed a lawsuit against VTB Capital in the High Court in London.
At the same time, Dmitry Kosarev, Empreno’s owner, has also filed an application to institute criminal proceedings in the UK’s Serious Fraud Office (SFO).
Empreno, which last year declared itself the 43.3% owner of Vivacom, argues that VTB Capital sold the telco at a lower price than expected, resulting in losses of €250 million.
Commenting on the lawsuit, VTB Capital said that it was not worthy of any attention.
