Benelux remains tops in Netflix Speed Index

Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg, the three countries that make up the Benelux, remain the top three countries in terms of speed in Netflix Speed Index.

Luxemburg keeps the top sport with average speed of 4.12 Mbps, followed by Belgium with 4.07 Mbps and The Netherlands with 4.02 Mbps. A complete and interactive list of the Top 20 countries can be found on the Global Index of Netflix, with an overview of the results for the past twelve months.

In Belgium Proximus (Belgacom) is number one with 4.28 Mbps, followed by VOO with 4.09 Mbps, Telenet with 3.81 and Numericable with 3.77 Mbps.

In The Netherlands CAIWay tops the list with 4.35 Mbps, followed by Ziggo with 4.23 Mbps, and Zeeland Net with 4.17 Mbps. KPN is fourth with 4.12 Mbps.

In Germany, UnityMediaBW dropped in the list from No. 1 to fifth place with an average monthly speed of 3.79 Mbps, down from 3.99 Mbps in November. Kabel Deutschland is now top performer with 3.12 Mbps.

In the UK, Virgin Media holds the top spot with 4.04 Mbps, followed by BT with 3.81 Mbps.
