A new family oriented TV channel focused on Catholic values is set to launch in Croatia on December 25.
Quoted recently in Vecernji, Ksenija Abramovic, a concert producer and director at Laudato televizije (LTV), said that the service has already received permission from the country’s Agency for Electronic Media to broadcast via satellite, cable and the internet for a period of 10 years.
It has also requested permission to broadcast terrestrially in Zagreb and the surrounding region on the DVB-T multiplex D and plans to reach the Croatian diaspora in Europe by broadcasting on Eutelsat 16A.
She added that LTV would initially broadcast for five hours a day, from 18.00 to 23.00, with two reruns a day later. Targeting mostly young viewers, it will at first show mostly external productions but in due course add its own.
It will also cooperate with a number of Catholic TV stations, including EWTN, Centro Televisivo Vaticano, TV Noa and TV Aparecida.
