Antonius Salis to drive joiz Group’s global expansion

December 9, 2015 09.12 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Antonius Salis Chief Business Development Officer joizjoiz Group, the Zürich-based digital media company with broadcast and advertising technology subsidiaries, is strengthening its management team with the appointment of Antonius Salis to the role of Chief Business Development Officer.

This new position has been created to accelerate global expansion of the company, identifying and developing opportunities for joiz Global’s community marketing platform and branded channels.

Salis joins joiz Group from the Berlin-based start-up investment firm Rocket Internet where he supported the international growth of various online start-ups.

“The new role of Chief Business Development Officer at joiz Group has been created to enhance and implement our ambitious strategy of global expansion,” said Alexander Mazzara, co-founder and CEO of joiz Group. “With his breadth of experience and impressive performance at Rocket Internet, Antonius is ideally qualified for this exciting challenge and I look forward to working with him as part of the joiz management team.”

In addition to operating interactive youth television channels in Germany and Switzerland, joiz provides third parties with its proprietary technology. The community marketing platform unites TV, online and mobile to increase consumer interaction and collect user data for commercialisation.

The technology has been utilised by a number of clients internationally including the recently launched Ultra HD channel Insight from Netherlands-based broadcaster and producer TV Entertainment Reality Network (TERN) and German media company M. DuMont Schauberg to create Köln.tv, the country’s first interactive regional television network.
