WATCH VIDEO. French international channel TV5Monde has launched Les Haut-parleurs, a YouTube channel dedicated to and made by young people.
Young journalists, photographers and francophone students will produce two reports a week for the new YouTube channel, which will also be broadcast on the TV5Monde channels.
Les Haut-parleurs wants to have the same tone of voice as similar programmes such as Vice News on France 4 and Les Observateurs on France 24.
“We want to adopt a spontaneous and authentic tone, applied to social issues,” said Claire Leproust, who produces the YouTube channel with her studio FabLabChannel. A three-person team will be working on the programme in Paris.
