The Czech national commercial broadcaster FTV Prima will launch a new channel named Prima Max this Friday, November 20.
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, it will focus on foreign productions and in particular films and be distributed by the country’s third DTT multiplex, which already carries the Prima channels Prima Zoom and Prima Love.
According to Parabola, the HD version will also be offered by UPC Czech, which also added three more HD channels – Prima Love HD, Telka HD and Smichov HD – to its offer earlier this week.
UPC now provides more channels (49) in the format than any other company in the Czech Republic.
Prima also plans to launch a channel, named Prima Comedy Central and developed jointly with Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), this December.
