Slovenia is the next country to enable the regular HbbTV services by the introduction of a HbbTV portal on Golica TV, which is available across terrestrial (DVB-T) network in Slovenia.
Golica TV is a folk music channel on the Slovenian market, which is offering videos, concerts and live broadcasts with their own shows and shopping network. They are constantly developing new services and innovative products, together with its affiliated television channel Folx TV, which is broadcasting its programme in Austria and Germany. HbbTV services are among their top priorities for the forthcoming period in order to offer their viewers something new and innovative.
Golica TV is the first channel to offer regular HbbTV services on the Slovenian market. So far there was only one attempt of HbbTV services provided by channel Planet TV, which was developing an interactive marketing campaign together with car manufacturer Skoda (see video below).
The channel’s HbbTV portal was enabled with help of Slovenian company Castoola, which is offering broadcasters and network operators its Start:up package. This package includes branded TV channel based HbbTV portal together with monitoring and monetizing platform, which can be redesigned according to customers’ needs.
