Vodafone’s fully integrated Spanish cable, mobile and TV service Vodafone One has been one of the company’s big success stories this year, reaching nearly 800,000 subscribers only four months after its launch in May.
In its latest set of results, the company says that the integration of Ono is proceeding strongly, with the MVNO migrated to the Vodafone network seven months ahead of schedule.
Looking at other European markets, Vodafone adds that following the launch of its consumer broadband service to 22 million premises across the UK -95% of BT’s fibre footprint – in October, its TV service will now follow in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile in Germany, where the company has this month launched its fully integrated offer Vodafone RedOne, the integration of KDG is also continuing as planned. Cable net adds continued to be strong throughout H1, supplemented by ongoing migrations from the DSL base.
The Vodafone Group as a whole posted revenues of £20,266 million (€28,409 million) for the six months ended September 30, down 2.3% on the reported figure a year earlier but 2.8% up organically.
EBITDA amounted to £5,786 million (-1.7% and +1.9% respectively) and the loss for the financial period was £1,584 million, compared to one of £122.8 million a year earlier.
Vodafone notes that it will move to euro reporting for the 2017 financial year.
