After a week of confusing announcements, the ownership of Hungary’s second largest broadcaster TV2 remains far from clear.
Quoted by BBJ, Yvonne Dederick and Zsolt Simon said on October 16 that their deal to sell the company to the American-Hungarian film producer Andrew G. Vajna remains legal.
At the same time, they rejected a claim by Károly Fonyó that his company Megapolis Media, along with Lajos Simciska, had exercised a pre-purchase option to buy TV2 last Tuesday.
Dederick and Simon deny any knowledge of such an option and there are strong indications from both sides that the matter may end up in court.
