Austrian cable operator UPC Austria has commenced offering its customers the possibility to use mobile TV app Horizon Go outside the reach of their Wi-Fi home network.
By making the service available on its mobile network, viewers can access up to 81 TV channels on smartphones and tablets 21 of which are provided in HD quality.
The precondition is a cable TV subscription from UPC Austria in connection with a subscription to the company’s mobile tariff UPC Mobile. Access is not possible through third-party mobile tariffs for legal reasons.
Horizon Go is available free of charge from the app stores of Apple (iOS) and Google (Android). Using the service reduces the data volume included in UPC Mobile corrspondingly.
