Greek operator OTE will be rebranding using its mobile brand for both fixed and mobile services.
The company plans to use Cosmote — until now used only for mobile services — as a uniform commercial brand.
“We have completed our transformation into a modern, competitive business, as well as the functional integration of our fixed and mobile operations. The establishment of a unified image for our commercial portfolio is the natural evolution for the OTE Group,” said Michael Tsamaz, chairman and CEO, OTE Group.
“We are improving ourselves for our clients, aiming to become their “love brand”. This is why we have decided to join the forces of our two brands, OTE and Cosmote, under our new commercial brand; a decision consistent with market trends on European and international level”.
OTE is following an international trend by using the brand of its mobile operator across its whole spectrum of telecom products. Other examples include Orange and Belgacom’s Proximus. However, OTE has decided not to use the Deutsche Telekom brand, under which name it operates in its Central and Eastern European operations.
