ProSiebenSat.1 to launch Swiss Puls 8 on October 8

Puls 8The new Swiss TV channel German media company ProSiebenSat.1 is currently preparing will carry the name Puls 8.

The channel will launch on October 8, 2015 at 20.00 CET with the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, according to ProSiebenSat.1’s Swiss subsidiary SevenOne Media Schweiz. At 22.00 CET the film Resident Evil will follow.

Puls 8 will offer a 24 hour service with international movies, US series and telenovelas. Swiss original productions are planned in the medium term. The channel’s name underlines that its primetime commences at eight o’clock in the evening.

The advertising-supported free-to-air channel will target viewers between 20 and 49 years of age in German-speaking Switzerland. It will be distributed on domestic cable networks and IPTV platforms.
