Nat Geo People will launch in Romania on September 1 and in Poland exactly a month later.
In the former, the channel will be distributed by Telekom in linear and non-linear versions, while in the latter it will be offered by the DTH platforms Cyfrowy Polsay and nc+.
Nat Geo People is the newest channel in the National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) portfolio and has already been launched in Denmark, Germany, Italy and Turkey.
Commenting on the upcoming launches, Carlos Ortega, EVP FOX International Channels Central and Eastern Europe, said: “We are delighted to add Nat Geo People to our channels’ portfolio in Romania and Poland. After the successful experience in other European countries, Nat Geo People will arrive to these markets as a new approach to factual content, and also as a natural extension of the National Geographic brand focused on true experiences of real people.
“The stories of Nat Geo People are told by real characters, captivating people from around the world who bring us emotional, but also exhilarating stories.”
