French broadcast regulator Conseil supérieur de l’audiovisuel (CSA) has launched a new call for applications for nationwide terrestrial HD channels.
Applications must be submitted to CSA by September 8, 2015 at 17.00 CET. They may also be sent by post to the Council, no later September 8, 2015 (the date of postmark), by registered mail with return receipt.
This call is part of the evolution of DTT platform in France announced in April 2016 by the Government. It follows the transfer of the 700 MHz frequency band to telecom operators and the adoption of the compression standard MPEG-4 for DTT broadcasts.
