German children’s and family channel RiC is now also available on Media Broadcast’s hybrid TV service multithek.
The move enables the ad-supported free-to-air channel to reach DTT viewers, thereby increasing its technical reach to a total of almost 34 million German households.
The OTT service multithek operated by transmitter network operator Media Broadcast expands the German DTT offering by content reaching TV screens through the internet. For reception, viewers need a HbbTV-compliant TV set or set-top-box connected to the internet.
The multithek is currently available in 14 urban areas via DTT and nationwide via satellite on Astra (19.2° East).
