Pay-TV broadcaster Sky has rolled out its arts and cultural channel Sky Arts to viewers in Germany and Austria.
Initially, the content is available on demand at Sky Go and Sky Anytime (2TB) to give subscribers an impression of channel’s programme lineup. In Q1 2016, Sky Arts HD will launch as a linear TV channel.
All Sky Arts programmes are German TV debuts. The schedule comprises reportages and documentaries focusing on photography, architecture, performing arts, design and classical music.
Sky Arts is already available in the UK, Ireland and Italy. In May 2015, Sky Deutschland confirmed to Broadband TV News that the service will launch in Germany.
