Tele Columbus, Germany’s third-largest cable operator, wants to roll out a mobile service in the second half of 2015.
The long-term partner for the mobile data and telephony proposition will be Drillisch, one of Germany’s largest network-independent telecommunications companies. The service will use the mobile network of Telefónica O2 and high-speed data standard LTE.
Tele Columbus will offer its customers mobile voice and data flat-rate tariffs in combination with the existing TV, internet and fixed-line telephony packages. The price details will be announced at the launch.
With its move, Tele Columbus follows Kabel Deutschland and Unitymedia which also offer quadruple play services.
