German cable operator Tele Columbus has commenced offering its customers internet access with a download speed of 400Mbps as the first internet service provider in the German consumer market.
The high-speed service is initially available in the Potsdam region in which around 40,000 households are connected to Tele Columbus’ city network.
The new tariff 2er Kombi 400 with a double flat-rate for telephony and internet is offered for €99.99 per month. No data throttling or volume limit applies.
150Mps has so far been the fasted internet speed provided by Tele Columbus. The company wants to roll out the 400 Mbps service in further regions in future.
