The new Turkish DTH platform Filbox has entered into an agreement with Discovery Networks CEEMEA.
Under it, Discovery Channel, Discovery Science, Animal Planet, Discovery Showcase HD and Eurosport HD will be added to Filbox’s offer from April 6 to May 31.
Commenting on the deal, Fatih Oflaz, president of the platform’s owner Oflaz Media Group, said: “Launching all these wonderful channels will further strengthen our market position in Turkey. Our country has 21 million households and only 6 million of them enjoy a pay tv service. Our biggest aim to recruit the remaining households to our service. Our well balanced, high quality channel list and affordable price policy will enable us to achieve this target. Our ideal is to contribute to cultural enhancement of average household with our well thought channel list at a very affordable cost.”
OMG founded its first company Medyavizyon in 1990 and started distributing foreign and local films, TV series and other TV formats.
