Poland’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has approved a number of name changes to Canal+ channels operating in the country.
Quoting Katarzyna Twardowska, a spokesperson for the regulator, Wirtualne Media reports that they will now see Canal+ Family 2 known as Canal+ Seriale.
Furthermore, Sport 2 will now be known as Canal+ Sport 2 and Sport 3 Canal+ 2.
Significantly, the latter have yet to begin broadcasting, though they hold licences, issued to ITI Neovision, and in the case of Sport 3 Canal+ 2 will be transformed from a sports-only into a general channel.
Canal+ services in Poland are distributed by the DTH platform nc+, which is operated by ITI Neovision, and cable operators.
