German commercial broadcast group Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland will expand the DTT distribution of RTL Nitro.
The ad-supported free-to-air TV channel will become available on digital terrestrial airwaves in Berlin and surroundings on May 1, 2015, according to local media authority MABB.
RTL Nitro will replace teleshopping channel ManouLenz TV which will close down its DTT distribution in the German capital on April 30, 2015.
MABB recommends viewers to initiate a channel search on their DTT reception device on May 1 to ensure that the new channel will be picked up.
