Montenegro ended Q4 2014 with 154,393 TV connections, according to country’s Agency of Electronic Media (AEM).
This was slightly down (0.8%) on the figure three months earlier (155,635) though 3.6% up on the 148,701 posted at the end of 2013.
Pay-TV services were received by almost four in five homes (79.26%), with only a minority (20.74%) opting for FTA analogue terrestrial TV.
IPTV was the main reception mode for pay-TV (41.63%), followed by DTH (33.27%), MMDS (12.97%), cable (11.80%) and mobile (0.33%).
The average cost of a basic package, consisting of 67 TV channels, was €9.91 a month.
The most channels offered in a basic package were 101 (€11.14 a month) and least 29 (€6.05).
Montenegro has four cable, two IPTV, one MMDS, one DTH, one DVB-T2 and one mobile operator providing pay-TV services.
