German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has acquired the live transmission rights of the UEFA Europa League until the 2017/18 season for Germany and Austria.
In combination with the rights of the UEFA Champions League, Sky will continue to exclusively show the whole range of matches of the German and Austrian teams.
The new rights deal will become effective from 2015/16 season and – in addition to the TV rights – includes the internet, IPTV and mobile TV rights. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Like it has been the case since the 2012/13 season, Sky will show all games of the German and Austrian teams as well as selected matches between foreign clubs in full length and as a multi-match broadcast.
