Sainsbury’s has added its Entertainment Channel to the Roku platform.
The UK supermarket is allowing customers to use points from its Nectar loyalty card scheme to pay for movies and TV series.
These include The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 22 Jump Street, How to Train Your Dragon 2, from Friends to The Big Bang Theory and the inevitable Breaking Bad.
The Entertainment Channel is also available from Windows, Xbox 360, Roku, Apple and Android.
Sainsbury’s strategy is in contrast to rival Tesco, which has folded its own Clubcard TV.
